How Warded came to be

We started Warded after a late night emergency in our old employer’s data center. We had the best security devices and software at the time, but we were experiencing a major breach because of a simple flaw in our systems: Untrained Employees.

We failed to properly train our employees to know what and how to handle a potential malicious attack. Through years of training, and preparing course materials, we realized that this type of service could benefit more than just the corporate world.

This became more apparent when one of our grandmother’s health had seriously declined and she was no longer able to make independent decisions on the multiple letters, emails, calls, and texts she was receiving. She fell victim to a scammer who pretended to be Social Security and stole thousands of dollars and several months’ paychecks without her knowledge.

Her family was able to assist in the recovery of funds, but for others, they may not be so lucky. This is where Warded’s mission developed. To protect our loved ones from fraudsters and scammers.
